Evaluation of our One Shot Film
Filming this took at least 4 takes due to our great idea of filming inside a lift! But then again, I would too be surprised if i walked into a lift to find a camera perched on a tripod staring back. I thought the theme behind the film was great, if you hadn't guessed it, the camera was in fact acting as a drunk student. The entire story was quite complex, due to the lift movement, as it was a job and a half to get the timings for what was happening on each floor correct. As a group, we decided this was the bet version for our final outcome. Mainly due to the fact that there was no surprised random people involved, or obvious bad timings. The lift music works quite well, as it almost makes the events on each floor seem even more strange! We did however consider different pieces of music for each event, but felt it wouldn't flow as well as it does now.

Filming One Shot
To think of a story and to film it in 'one shot'.... obviously, between 1 and 5 minuets I thought was MIND BOGGLING!! But, as a team effort, we all managed to have a say and discuss our ideas by brainstorming a few possible outcome and scenario. After lots of discussion and slight debate, it was decided that we would film our one shot in a lift. The basic storyline is quite strange, but it was to portray a typical....as in over exaggerated, typical student living. This was done by having something different happening on each floor level, for example fights, drunk students, parties etc.
Then came the editing........now this didn't go down too well! The computers were mean machines today, so it was a bit of a struggle to capture our film using Adobe Premiere Pro. So, as a result, we are still currently working on it. As a group we have decided to meet later in the week to finish it. Our thoughts on editing it so far include using waiting room/lift music for the majority of it. But as for the rest, we still need to bang our heads together. The film will be posted in due time!

Finally figured how to post..!
Haven't managed to update anything since being taught how to set this up as it seems I forgotten how...until now. So, an overdue post of my thoughts so far....
Pinhole Camera
I was slightly confused at first when asked to bring a beer can in for our first exercise as an insight to multimedia. However the purpose was actually quite interesting. When making the can into the pinhole camera I was curious how it would take a picture..although for me..it didn't! Yes, I was the idiot who some how accidentally placed the photo paper over the pinhole, therefore after developing it, the outcome was in fact a small black spot, well aren't I the clever one. I did manage to see other students outcomes and they were really quite impressive.
Whiteboard Animation
I found this really exciting, and was also quite amazed! I have never done any animation before, and would have never of realised it takes 12 photographs per one second, shocking!! Although it was hard to get a storyline lifting, due to so many ideas flowing from the whole group, it turned out to be quite successful.
