Pixilation

Below is my version of Oren Lavie's Morning Elegance. I thought it would turn out a lot better than it did, hence why I have produced others to make up for it!!!

Below, is one i spent more time on. I experimented a bit on Photoshop with the filters etc and am quite pleased with how this one turned out. However I'm thinking I will upload the group one we did without any filters to see and compare which works the best.

Pixilation..Done.

This is a very short practice pixilation I created just to get the hang of what to do.

Updated Interactive Narrative...this one actually works!

I made a few changes since the last one, including removing the template buttons and making the text alone be the button. I also managed to make the choice be highlighted red once the mouse covers the text. I think thats all the changes I made but I think it works much better!

Aha! - Interactive Narrative

I figured out why its not working, being the div that I somehow uploaded the incomplete version.... so as I thought it was uploaded and complete I deleted all other versions ....Im therefore having to update the incomplete version...what a waste of time! Essay is near enough complete though I think I can squeeeeeeeze it in. NOTE TO SELF: keep all copies of work and get a hardrive!!!!!!!!!!!

Back to the Interactive Narrative

It seems Deviantart.com is taking a dislike to me. My work doesn't display properly on it and just basically doesn't work. It works absolutely fine in Flash itself, so I don't know why this is. Im thinking of doing another one, no idea what, time is running out though so I'm starting to panic, but just so maybe at least one works!!!!

Essay

After realising not many books have helped me to at least produce a draft essay, the internet has actually been quite useful. I had a draft version ready to send, but decided to wait after Tuesdays lecture about it to see if I were on the right lines. Turns out I have to completely re order everything, so it is still an on going process!!!!!

Pixilation ideas

Our second seminar introduced us to batch processing our photographs. I quite liked experimenting with the different filters etc to change the style of my work. I tested this out with our group work. Since, I have taken photographs of a few ideas. Originally, I really liked 'morning elegance' a pixilation/stop motion piece researched previously, so thought I would try my own version of this. I managed to persuade someone to lie on the floor for a very long time acting as though they are walking along, as their day to day routine comes in play. However, it didn't seem as easy as they made it look! it was in fact very hard to make it look like you were walking whilst lying sideways on the floor, and obviously, it can never be as good as the original. But i shall post it up once I have been taught the next step on Premiere Pro tomorrow.
So, my next idea. This involved someone 'snowboarding' in the garden, but is actually getting pulled around on the board by a motorbike. Sounds very silly I know but it was quite amusing!!
The only problem encountered so far is when I batch produced these sets of photographs it has randomly changed the order of which they go in. WHY? I have no idea. ANNOYING.

One Shot Film- TAKE TWO!

I mentioned earlier..way back to one of our first weeks now, that our group had decided to do another one shot film. Originally, we were put into groups to do a practice film, and then present it to the class. However, ours decided not to play, apparently it was on the wrong setting...or so we thought. When we later met to create our first one shot, we found the practice one on the tape!!!! So this is why we developed our practice idea to produce the first one. However, we realised after that we over complicated things by moving the lift and the lighting wasn't very good. So we therefore decided to move away from the lift idea!
Our new one shot is called the predator. Its about a guy trying to chat up every girl in the room. The girls are busy working and are not interested and he gets the message. So as the last resort he then moves on to another guy in the class! Unfortunately our time with the camera was very limited, but after several attempts of trying to meet up to best suit everyone, we finally managed to create this. Thee lighting is much better, and there is also a narrative whereas there wasn't as much with our previous one.
