- 180 degree rule - keep everything in one direction
- Have to have meaning behind each shot
- Identify with the character - so he matters
- Angles and comparison - how to show it?
- Upshots - show ceiling (or something that uses the background)
- Downshots - showing the floor to represent
- Establishing the shot - beginning of the scene to orient the audience
- Give the eye something to follow
- Cut in closer when you need to see a specific expression
- Cut to the most important thing at the time
- See the change in expression - 2 poses
- Avoid centring characters
- Use easily recognisable objects

Storyboarding
From watching videos on how to create a perfect storyboard for my animation for instance, there are a few rules that I picked up that need to be considered:
